Happy belated New Year to everyone. Yep, It's already February and this is MY first post for the year.
Currently on the old drawing board... I'm fixing up scenes for my student film and doing this from the comfort of home. Unfortunately it is not always wise to work from home. The temptations of sleeping in or browsing the web all day can easily take full control.
That's why it took me so long to set up a little line tester. But I finally got around to doing it and everything has worked well so far.
The camera is a cheap webcam. This is fixed onto the remnants of an old Photographic Enlarger. My father had a darkroom for developing photographs in his younger days, up until recently the whole enlarger had been stored away and out of use. I removed the lamp house, lens and aperture plates to leave the bare frame and to attatch the camera to.Its all really basic. The USB webcam is plugged into my laptop and again I FINALLY got around to installing the stop motion freeware Monkey Jam. The registration involves one drilled in round, center peg and (currently) one taped cardboard peg. I have only done one linetest so far with one level, no background. I guess Ill cross that bridge when I come to it.
My drawing board at the moment.
Some tools of the trade and promoting of King Kong and Cars, Meanwhile Daffy Duck has felt tips spewing out of his head.I emphasize the test in Line Test with this one. I'm still working on the scenes and it needs a lot more inbetweens but I think the quality from the webcam is alright.
This was output from Monkey Jam and I know you can add sounds with that but the fades and sound were added after.
So my updates will happen sporadically. If you want to be informed when I next update then consider subscribing to this blog.
Enjoy.
